I went and checked my gift basket site… to validate it… and OMG it looked terrible. Upon further inspection – it was mostly my affiliate links that didn’t do it for me…. and I don’t know if it’s worth my time to try to validate them. I’m pondering….

After awhile the validation started getting easier for me, now it’s a breeze.

It’s everything that comes after having a site that validates that is the question mark for me

I think that sums it up for me Mark. I do make *some* effort to get clean code, but if things get crazy – I just can’t justify the time to make everything perfect.

This was a good topic though. I’m bending a bit. Maybe I should allow myself an 1/2 hr – 1 hour to try to validate, rather than the current 5 minutes I give myself .

Your point was good as well and one I hadn’t considered, no need to get compulsive about validation. The world still spins.

The Google Information for Webmasters says “Check for broken links and correct HTML.”

My preference is to validate
