ClickBank Stats
Making money with ClickBank is nice - but I really don’t use them all that much. I’m more interested in selling physical products online rather than digital and ebook stuff. However, I enjoy a little mix too .
I mainly just use this ClickBank Directory here on superaff and on two other domains, as well as the very odd link posted here on the blog (always noted as an affiliate link btw).
The ClickBank directory script doesn’t tend to do so well with organic search results, probably because it is too cookie cutter, not customizable enough and not unique enough from the other gazillion affiliates using it. I would imagine that applies to all the various scripts and ClickBank malls out there since I don’t usually tend to some across them when I’m searching for something specific. But the script is free, nicely done and I am glad to have it.
Having said that, my ClickBank Sales Stats aren’t all that fab-terrific and I don’t make a lot of money with ClickBank . NOTE: It’s nothing negative about ClickBank itself, it’s more that I don’t promote them properly to make anything substantial from them.
So when I do make a sale, I always sit with a blank stare looking at the report feature in ClickBank trying to figure out which product sold (report stats detail is very lacking). When you aren’t really working a program and driving sales, and some of the features are more complicated or less informative to use than what you’re used to - you tend to get lost a little easier.
Well I stumbled across a little tidbit recently at the ClickBank Success Forum: Question about what product was sold.
Here’s the trick:
Once you login, click “Reporting”
Search the current month (if you’re wanting info on this month’s sales)
You’ll notice particular IDs listed in the “Publ” column
Take the following link and replace *reseller* with the ID in the “Publ” column
Example:
http://AFFILIATE.reseller.hop.clickbank.net
Result:
http://AFFILIATE.CSAND.hop.clickbank.net
Now when you load that link in your browser, you can see which of the products you promoted resulted in a sale for you. If you use the above link I used as an example, replace the middle dots with a period so that the url will work (I did that so the links wouldn’t be clickable).
You *do not* want to know what I was doing to track down my sales before I stumbled across that great tip - pretty messy.
Poke around at the ClickBank Success Forum if you’re involved with ClickBank products, lots of other good information and tips found including this neat cookie checking script:
My sales up by 20%
(No feedback from me at this point - have yet to try it. Also it can apparently be used successfully with other networks)
I believe I also found this nifty little tool at the forum too:
ClickBank Stats Viewer. I haven’t set this up yet either - my sales don’t merit the constant watching .
Enjoy your day!
