I pile things high on my desktop, then pay for it when it is clean up time! 😆 But one thing I’m really trying to train myself is to better use a PIM (Personal Information Manager) in organizing and keeping together my online information.
Notes on websites
Resources for each website
Etc., Etc., Etc.
Ideas are endless on ways to use a PIM, but it’s just *so much easier* to whip open a PIM and have the details and resources for each of your affiliate websites right at your fingertips:
Your hosting account info
Your login info
Your affiliate accounts info
Your keyword list
Your articles for that site
The list goes on and on and on.
Which PIM to use? There are probably several dozen on the market. I found TreePad the best fit for me. The Lite version is fine for what I need (it’s the free version). The main feature I wanted was a PIM that will search the entire tree, not just one node at a time. That’s why I settled into TreePad, I wanted a serious search function.
Here is a screen cap of an example I whipped up to give you an idea of what I’m talking about:
Can you see how easy it is to keep everything about your websites together and organized in one place? I’m loving it.
