So everybody else really busy this week? Things are snowballing again, so not much posting from me. I haven’t really been keeping up with everyone’s blogs and news so I’ll get to that later tonight hopefully and post a weekly update.

Good news for the hobby site I posted about earlier: Monetizing A Hobby Site - Without Adsense. I made the changes last week sometime and I’m already seeing a big improvement:

$40.70 in commissions from this site already. Laugh all you want, but I was doin *nothin* really since the site launched last fall. Both in money and time. I don’t think I topped $40 in an entire month, let alone two weeks. Obviously more work needs to be done both in monetizing the traffic and building traffic.

Traffic levels as of now:

1499 uniques
2278 visits

329 bookmarks (22% bookmark rate)

600 (approx) search engine visits

Two affiliate programs I’m working with are pretty strong and are accounting for most of the earnings ($30). Performing in both the sidebar and the content text strip. I do need to look at stronger choices for the others that aren’t doing as well, but I’m getting there. Remember - no adsense, no popups and no strobing banners. That’s the tricky part :lol:.

On the agenda for this weekend: moving some sites from one host to another. Oh joy.
