I’m one of those people that downloads masses of software to try, bookmarks mountains of pages, and piles scripts high in a folder to try ‘later’, when I have time. And oh my gosh – let’s not talk about the gigs of ebooks I have stacked to read! 😆
I’m picking through my desktop tonight (that means reorganizing the piles so I can have room to breathe), and I found this free log analyzer. It’s a lite version so it doesn’t have ALL the goods, but I installed it and am very pleased with how easy it is to read my log files. I was one of *those* that really didn’t know what to do with the darn things.
Here’s the link:
WebLog Expert Lite is a free log analyzer, light-weight version of WebLog Expert. It allows you to quickly and easily analyze your log files and get information about your site’s visitors: activity statistics, what files visitors accessed, information about referring pages, search engines, browsers, operating systems, and more.
I even snuck a peak at the price for the full version, it’s $75 U.S. Not bad at all!
One thing to remember is that the ‘hits’ section is not your unique visitor count – so don’t get all excited. 😉
P.S. I didn’t run any adware/spyware tests yet, so I can’t say if the tool is clean or not.
